With the UltraPort IrDA, IBM brings infrared wireless connectivity to any ThinkPad(R) X series using UltraPort connector. Operating at a maximum range of one meter, the UltraPort IrDA module can communicate at speeds up to 4 Mbps to other IrDA devices. In addition, the infrared transceiver swivels from front to back for a greater view field, further extending system flexibility. With the included UltraPort USB adapter and tripod, any IBM-compatible system can have IrDA functionality.
