The PCI interface is provided via a PLD PCI Bus Master Interface Chip. The CDUSCC and the PLD both have DMA capabilities, but the two DMA interfaces are not completely compatible. The merger of the two DMA interfaces is managed by the PLD. -Supports asynchronous (up to 115.2Kbps), synchronous (up to 57.6Kbps) and bisynchronous (up to 57.6Kbps) modes. While all three of the protocols are available on the PCI Multiprotocol Adapter, only the synchronous communications drivers are available.
