This high-speed, secure (128-bit encrypted) product enables NetVista customers to easily deploy new network infrastructures without the expense of implementing a wired LAN.

• 802.11b PCI wireless connectivity allows IT managers to easily deploy PCs for high-speed wireless connectivity without the expense and IT staff resource to route wired LAN cables for network connectivity.
• Enhanced 128-bit Wired Equivalency Privacy (WEP) for secure data transmission. The 128 bit encryption allows for data packets to be encrypted and decrypted as they are sent over the Wireless LAN. The adapter supports 802.11e dynamic key exchange which randomly changes the security keys for higher security against unauthorized LAN access.
• Low profile enabled design meets NetVista Small Form factor requirements. Products will ship with a standard bracket and two antennas. A short antenna, designed for the X40 systems,and a standard length antenna,to be used on all other NetVista desktop and tower PC's, regardless of form factor.
• Microsoft WHQL certified drivers for Windows 2000, and additional driver support for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Millennium, and NT 4.0.
• Inter-operability with the IBM High Rate Wireless Access Point 500 (09N9906).
• Based on the IEEE 802.11b standard: Up to 11Mbps data rate with fall back to 5.5, 2, and 1 Mbps; 2.4 GHz direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS);compatible with 802.11 DSSS 2 Mbps solutions; ethernet 10BaseT wired LAN compatibility; supports 64-bit or 128-bit RC4 encryption; roaming support; Wi-Fi certified;PCI 2.2 compliant.
